“The Good Ship Ori” is an Intimate film about an Israeli merchant ship.
Most of the sailors on the ship are from India, The Philippines and Turkey, under the command of Israeli officers.
The crew stays on the ship for long periods of eight to ten months, going back home for short vacations of few weeks.
How do they run their family life from a far? Is the ship a remnant of the old world of masters and servants or is it a substitute for family?
The film depicts 24 hours on the ship.
